A team from CRS paid a curtesy call on Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Saeed Muhazu Jibril today at the office of the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council.
The purpose of the team was to brief the Minister of the organization’s activities and operations and their upcoming intervention project known as “Holistic Opportunities for Positive Engagement in Maternal and Child Health (HOPE-MCH) Project” specifically tailored to address maternal and child health.
The HOPE-MCH is a collaborative project between CRS, THP, MAP International, GHS, and NAS. The project will extensively advance Ministry of Health’s efforts to enhance access and utilization of maternal and newborn services for children under 3 years old, their mothers, and pregnant women in Ghana.
The project is grounded on three main objectives which are;
1. Generate community demand for skilled health services,
2. Increase accessibility to health and nutrition services and products, and
3. Enhance the provision of comprehensive and disability-friendly care.
The project is funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), and expected to last a period of 5 years.
