The minister led various departments and agencies which include the police, the military, first and second cycle institutions Gonjaland Youth Association etc. to plant over a thousand trees aimed at restoring the country’s vegetation cover.

The tree planting exercise commenced at the Jakpa Palace where the King of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Sulemana Tutumba Boresa I blessed the principal activity of the day by being the first to plant a tree at the palace to pave way for the Savannah Regional edition.
Hon. Saeed Muhazu Jibril also planted a tree at the Jakpa Palace before extending the nation-wide tree planting exercise to other significant areas in the region’s capital.
