In a brief ceremony, the Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salisu Bi-Awuribi (Esq), today handed over administration of the various District Assemblies in Savannah Region to their respective District and Municipal Chief Executives.
His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama earlier this year, tasked the Hon. Regional Minister to preside over the administration of the seven districts across the Savannah region pending nomination and approval of their respective DCEs/MCEs.
Following successful confirmation of the various nominees, Hon. Bi-Awuribe formally handed over the administration of the various districts/municipals to their MCEs/DCEs.
Hon. Salisu Bi-Awuribi (Esq) whiles congratulating the DCEs reminded them of their mandate to serve diligently and give their utmost best to uplift the image of Ghana. He assured them of his unflinching support and encouraged them to seek for help if they needed to.
The Minister however admonished the DCEs to resist any act of mismanagement or corruption as the President would not only remove the person but prosecute as well.
