On 12th February 2025, Hon. Isifu Salisu Bi-Awurobe officially assumed office as the Savannah Regional Minister, marking the beginning of his tenure in leading the region’s governance and development efforts.
To facilitate a smooth transition, a briefing and familiarization meeting was held at the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council (SRCC), where the Regional Coordinating Director (RCD), Mr. Ebenezer Amoah, formally handed over the administration of the region to the newly appointed Minister.
During the meeting, heads of various departments and units under the SRCC provided the Minister with detailed briefings on their respective mandates, ongoing projects, key challenges, and future plans. These briefings aimed to equip the Minister with firsthand knowledge of the region’s administrative structure, developmental priorities, and operational dynamics.
The discussions covered crucial areas in the Region. The Minister, in response, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and assured the team of his commitment to effective leadership, collaboration, and policy-driven development in the Savannah Region.
