On Monday 20th July 2020, the Yagbonwuras mediation committee of eminent chiefs chaired by Buipe wura Jinapor ii submitted their report which informed the King’s decision which finally brought year’s of Chieftancy mishaps in the Bole traditional area to an end.
A declaration which was made and accepted by all was manifested by the calmness of the area and the swift reconciliation of feuding parties.
The minister Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah who on countless occasions has promised never to allow Chieftancy unrest to derail the development of Savannah region today (24th July 2020) together with REGSEC paid a working visit to the Yagbonwura wuras nominee and and the nominated Jentilpe wura respectively.
In the Minister’s remarks, he indicated that, in the past, anytime he had a duty to perform in and around the area, the only option available to him is to sneak in and quickly out of the traditional area like a thief, but today Yagbonwura Tuntumba has given him and anyone else the keys to enter Bole and pay homage to his son Yiram Katugefeso without fear.
After thanking Yagbonwura , the minister also thanked the mediation committee of eminent chiefs and also urged the good people of Bole to embrace peace and use the preceding years to develop the area. “Yiram Katugefeso, the whole of Gonjaland is watching you, please unite Bole and make it more attractive and appealing to the world of investors “ the minister added.
Bole wura Katugefeso (nominee) couldn’t hide his excitement over the visit. He confirmed that, Since Yagbonwura wuras pronouncement, his palace has always been full to capacity and Bole itself has been peaceful.
Fast forward to maintaining peace, according to the Bole wura elect, a Jentilpe wura whom he enskined has been asked to take charge of Nahari allowing His grandfather the then Nahari wura to take over the skins of Jentilpe. “ A delegation will be sent this morning to the house of the Jentilpe wura elect my grandfather to go and pay homage on my behalf” Says the Bole wura elect.
The next place of visit was the Jentilpe wura elects house. He promised to support his grandson the Bole wura elect to govern the area and further reiterated his commitment to Yagbonwuras decision.
Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah thanked him for allowing peace to prevail.
The minister was joined by the Deputy Regional minister Hon. Samuel Yeyu Tika, the Regional Coordinating Director Alhaji Mohammed Adam Baba, Hon. Veronica Alele Hemming DCE Bole, and Hon. Abdallah Alhassan Iddi.
